I just read something about a woman in a restaurant being asked to leave because she was breastfeeding her kid at the table. When another customer complained, the head waiter asked her to stop, and when she refused, she was asked to leave.
I never had to deal with this in Banquets...lucky for me.
Did this ever happen in your restaurant?

Nearly every woman I have seen breastfeed in a restaurant is pretty discreet about it. It is no big deal. To have her thrown out is a bit much I think. Not that my wife ever did any breastfeeding in restaurants. Not our thing. The other guest did not have to google at her.
I'm hungry.
Bullet...you would be :)
Man gets on the plane and sits next to a woman who is breast feeding her child. 3 hour flight, child never even whimpers.
As they reach their destination the man comments on the babys good disposition and the lady tells him
'Yes, when i breastfeed him it helps with the pressurization and keeps his little ears from popping"
and the man says
"And to think i've just been chewing gum all these years"
Bullet, you're wise beyond your years.
I knew a woman that was not discreet at all.. as a matter of fact, she would sit on the bench near the front door of the restaurant and keep the blanket about half on...
Happened where I used to work.
No big deal.
Often they would ask for a private place and we'd open up an unused meeting room for them.
If not, we'd just ignore them.
Nobody else seemed to mind.
Why should we?
To have her thrown out is retarded! This is natural and if I was her husband I would have been really pissed!
Should this really be a matter of opinion? or shoudl it be excepted anyways?
It's a natural part of life. As long as they don't pull out a breast pump and start lining up bottles of mummy juice.
I would have refused to leave, but I do live in California and they can't make you leave. I pulled my boob out just about everywhere with my son. When they're hungry, they're hungry! It's great that more places have nursing rooms or areas that you can breastfeed in private, since when you breastfeed you usually don't have bottles!
I was working for a dinner cruise company while my son was a baby and it was a challenge as to where I could pump and when.(You need to about every four hours) Either the liquor room or the handicapped restroom. Neither ideal. Plus, trying to do it between courses.
It was never a big thing until a T.V show called My Restaurant Rules showed one of the restaurant owners asking the lady to put it away. This caused a huge stir down under. I think that most women try to time it so they can enjoy the time out without having to feed but if they do, then please with a little discretion, "there is a time and place for a boob in the face."
