Ok, ok. After my earlier rant, and subsequent ball-breaking from my boss, I tried to get the mother of the "sweet 16 girl" the other day to pay the $210 she owed us for the few last minute arrivals. And guess what happened? By the time I left to make the banquet check out and then returned to the room, she left. Not only her, but all 40 of the little stink-head kids. The other parents, the DJ, the old grandma in the walker, the whole bunch. Even the balloon centerpieces were gone! WTF!!!
I was only gone for around 15 minutes and the whole damm room was empty. There were even tumbleweeds blowing around the room just like in those old western movies. I think it's a conspiracy against me...

Oh my god!
What a weasel.
One of my unrealized fantasies was to hold the names and addresses of these people and find out where they work.
And then pull that Seinfeld thing where he goes to heckle the woman that heckled him.
I never did.
I didn't do it when I was working there because I needed the job.
And I didn't do it when I left because I had better fish to fry when I went to school.
I live in a different city now but when I go back on vacation it's always in the back of my mind that if I come across one of the goofball clients that made my life miserable I will say something.
And I will tell you all about it when it happens.

You can be sure though that she will never come back.
Unless your gm is greedy enough to put you through the wringer.
"Oh, she's got other daughters who will turn sweet sixteen."
I hate gms.
(Note that I never capitalize the abbrev.)
Wow, some people are unreal and never hold themselves accountable.
Thanks for sharing, and I did add your blog to my Friend's Link List!:)
Hi,
Wow! Poor you ... So all left without paying. In future take the leader's ID or credit card, hold it first, so when they are about to leave, the leader will surely want to take back his/her belonging, then definitely all will be smooth and after the payment is approved, their bills will be settled.
Wow! That's crazy. Did you at least get paid for the non-last-minute arrivals? If not, that's theft of services. In my state after $500 you can sic the police on them. :)
