I've Been Doing This For 3 Years?

Yes believe it or not.  Today marks the completion of 3 full years (and 363 posts) where I have spilled my guts out on these pages for the world to see what it's really like to be a banquet manager.  Hope you've had pity on me...

If course I wish to thank all of you readers (even the ones that say I'm mean spirited when I seem to bitch about those waiters of mine, or yours).

Without you I wouldn't have the desire to keep on bitchin' about them...well, yes I probably will still keep on doing that.

On a separate note, I've been thinking on doing my 3rd Guest Blogger event again.  Is anybody interested in having their F&B related story told here?  I'm happy to give you the opportunity.

Let me know and maybe we'll start it next month.

Take care all.  And thanks.

From,
the Banquet Manager

Congratulations Banquet Manager to three good years and cheers for many more!

I would love to guest blog for your blog should you need some "filler". Please hit me up at my own email:
savingmalachi AT gmail DOT com! I can write from a post of my own, condensed to your format, I can write on a topic you choose, it doesn't matter to me!

Kudos again!

I stumbled upon your blog and I found it quite reassuring. I'm 21 and I've been working at the same facility for over 3 years. I started as a busgirl and buffet "filler"(?)then moved up to cashier/hostess at the restaurant occasionally working at the salt cave spa and banquet waitress. Recently, I've been moved up to banquet manager position and with only two days of training (I'm sure our facility isn't as big as yours, but it's still a lot of responsibilities) I have been left alone with no help due to my boss's departure (left the country for family reasons). Although, I haven't done the banquet manager's job for a long time I already got to experience some of oh-so-wonderful parts of being a banquet manager. Reading your blogs made me respect you and value you even more, i can't believe you put up with that much shit! really. I am truly impressed and I hope one day I can be as good as you are in my position. Keep it coming!
